TVS Motors, the fourth largest manufacturer of motorbikes in India, has officially declared the launch of a 125cc bike named Radeon at the Indian Auto Expo 2012. The company is going to launch a couple of scooters in 2012 and TVS Radeon is one among them. This motorbike is all set to hit the showroom, during the month of July or August. TVS Motors was doing well in the earlier years, but during the year 2011-12 they lost their 3rd position to Honda Motors and Scooters India ltd (HMSI). So, the company is aiming to recover its lost market share with the launch of this new 125cc bike.

Currently, there is not much information available on the technical details of the bike, but due to the exposure of the bike at the Auto Expo event, it has revealed some of its exciting features like, twin shock absorbers at the rear and conventional telescopic forks in the front, a four stroke engine powering, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine which is likely to bring good power, button-started, carburetted, striking mileage, and a front disc brake. The TVS Radeon looks similar to the Star City range motorbikes. It is expected that the bike will be having a better efficiency of fuel.
Though the styling of the bike looks not much new, but it has got some additional features which are rarely witnessed in the 125cc bikes and they are flush-mounted tail-light at the rear, petal-type disc brake at the front, a single downtube tubular steel frame with a box-section swingarm at the rear, blackened six-spoke alloy rims, novel shock absorbers at the rear, smart stitching for its riding saddle. TVS Radeon is available in lively colors like 'Silver Strike', 'Crimson Flash', 'Bold Blue', 'Electric Green', 'Gold Spark', and Red Blaze.
The company hasn't stood out in the 125cc segment yet. Previously, they had introduced Jive, which failed to grab the attention, but they have a high expectation with their upcoming bike TVS Radeon. Radeon125cc will suit those, who are concerned with mileage and low cost bikes. Though the company has not exposed its market price yet, but there is an assumption that the bike would be the cheapest when compared to other bikes like Honda Shine, Yamaha Gladiator, Hero Glamour, Bajaj Discover etc.
The company is expecting that Radeon can be one such invention which might be able to deliver a high-quality volume that will help them grow in their business.
