BU Student WebMail
You can prefer to use WebMail instead of your normal email software because it allows you read and write your e-mail on the Internet web from anywhere at any time. Web Mail is ideal when you traveling or using another person’s computer or an outside computer, such as at the library or at a trade show. WebMail includes all of these features like address books, personalized display settings, and support for mail folders.
Boston University’s all central e-mail services are provided by Academic Computing System (ACS). ACS is managed by the Information Services & Technology. You can access BU Student WebMail at www.bu.edu/webmail/. You must have an ACS account to use BU Student WebMail. If you don’t have account, then create it, your account will be available within 12 hours after you complete the application process.
You can open an account at the IT Help Center. ACS accounts are available for all Boston University’s faculty, staff, and students. To read your mail on ACS, you can use Horde - BU's Web-based mail system in which configuration is not required, so you can start it easily with BU login name and Kerberos password, and use it anywhere.

- Open www.bu.edu/webmail/
- Click on Login to Horde Option, given on top left corner
- Then open BU Webmail Login Page
- First enter your BU login name
- Enter Kerberos password
- Click on Login button
