You can obtain a preview of JPO from 2nd Dec 2011 onwards. It is the joint-venture project between Genting Bhd and Simon Property Group. It is the first outlet center in Malaysia. Many people are already waiting for the best luxury sale of the year. It offers a large collection of branded goods at big discounts ranging from Armani Exchange to Zegna. The opening ceremony will be held by the prime minister on December 11, 2011.
It is located in Kulai at the intersection of the North-South Expressway and the second Link Expressway that is 1 hour drive from city of Singapore and about 3 hours from Kuala Lumpur. The 175,000-sf project JPO is on a 44-acre site and is designed after Woodbury Common Premium Outlets. It is earmarked under the Economic Transformation Programme to boost the economy through tourism. JPO is projected to create more than 3,000 jobs.
The upscale outlet will feature more than 80 designers and branded stores. It will offer daily discounts of 25 % to 65 % on off-season premium brands like Burberry, Tumi, Giorgio Armani, Coach, DKNY, Gap Outlet, Levi’s, etc. JPO offers a huge collection of off-season items like sportswear, designer fashion, jewellery, children’s wear, and shoes.
