Legend of the Seeker show has a superb cast of very brilliant actors/actresses and it is one of the best shows on TV so the fans of the series expect that Season 3 should be started.

Legend of the Seeker Season 3 Spoilers
Legend of the Seeker is a sci-fi action adventure series that is based on the award winning novels ‘The Sword of Truth’ written by Terry Goodkind. The series is produced by ABC Studios and distributed in domestic syndication by Disney-ABC Domestic Television.
Legend of the Seeker revolves round a woods guide named as Richard Cypher (Craig Horner), who is after being thrust into a world of magic and charged with the responsibility to protect the world from evil. The series first season was premiered with a double bill on November 1, 2008. In January 2009, the series was renewed for a second season that premiered on November 7, 2009.
Legend of the Seeker Season 2 has been completed on May 22, 2010 with the final episode ‘Tears’. The series has a total of 44 episodes aired in both season. As of March 4, 2010, Tribune Company has decided not to renew the series. In April, ABC announced that Legend of the Seeker Season 2 Finale will be the last for the TV series and it is going with the decision of Tribune Company that the series will not renew for a third season.
The series has received a low rating in its second season. As of Episode 20, “Eternity” that aired on May 8, 2010, Legend of the Seeker listed a scarce 2.21 million viewers which is below the average rating of other TV series. The IMDb reported that Legend of the Seeker has been cancelled by ABC Studios on 12th May 2010.
To the decision of ABC and Tribune, the fans are not conceding and started a community on the ‘Save Our Seekers’ website for the continuation of Legend of the Seeker Season 3. The show has recorded the averaged 2.5 million viewers every week with little to no promotion, and an erratic airing schedule.
When the show already has a rapid growing international fan base, the non-continuation to Legend of the Seeker Season 3 came at a time said the Fans. Yet any response to the clamor of fans has not been issued by ABC and Tribune. Fans are much awaited and expect that ABC will change its decision and renew the Legend of the Seeker for the third season soon because they think that Legend of the Seeker season 3 will be better than the previous Legend of the Seeker seasons. I think my confusion is with ABC/Disney. I know they set the bar high, but this is their first sydicated show, and they haven't done it very well. Why didn't they try a different avenue?
The hope now is that the DVD sales will be large enough to prompt them to go ahead with a third season after all. Fingers crossed...

Theres action, drama, love, cool weapons, hot actors, and amazing costumes. The series is different from the books, but in a good way because it shows how creative the producers were with twisting up the script and storyline. So I am not surprised that they would cancel a real entertaining show. It didn't even air on the local ABC station only on one of the independents. Yeah ABC, you are a real winner, to produce a show and air it on a competitive station. I will not watch any programs on or produced by ABC until they get their heads out of their a** and hopefully more people will do the same.
With any luck, one of the stations SYFY, or ? will be smart enough to pick it up!!

I caught up on all episodes on Netflix and now find out no third season??? So disappointing. Finally a show with morals and great role models (even female!)- that actually has entertainment value- and they cancel it!
In Houston, Tx, the airing is limited to an early afternoon time on Saturdays and then 2 or 3am in the mornings on week days (not aired on ABC). So if you have to work- SCREW YOU! If you have kids and or any other commitments on Saturdays- SCREW YOU, TOO! Thanks a lot ABC/Tribune. What other Dancing With the Stars crap do you have for us??? Let's waste more time on mind-numbing crap instead of developing- or keeping!- well-crafted and well-scripted shows.

I have contacted ABC at their website and left a complaint, and also Petitionspot website. ABC is making the same mistake that NBC made with the original Star Trek. This is a show that has a strong fan base that would grow with more time and a better time slot. Let ABC know!! Bring The Seeker back!!!

All the Mord Sith are smokin! This dilema reminds me of "Firefly" a one season wonder that had such a cult following that they made the movie "Serenity." I don't know if Seeker can generate that kind of response. I can't wait to see Talbeth Bethal in a movie.

Why should I buy season 2 if it was canceled? It just came out but now it does not seems stupid to spend the money on it. It was a great show and one of two that I tried to watched every week.

The events in the books could have easily been translated to screen without bastardizing the original work. The events the screenwriters made up half the time didn't even add anything to the continuing plot.

(it would be awesome too! Costumes, weapons and all!!) I just found out about the show Legend of the Seeker earlier this year and have watched all season 1 on netflix in a week! I'm about to watch season two, and I was excited to learn they were doing season three, but now dissapointed that they've cancelled it. I totally agree that a show like this does take a while to grow a large fan base. Also it would do better on a network like SyFy that caters to the Science Fiction/Fantasy genre. It would definately pull more fans or viewers on that station.
Well, I'll cross my fingers and hope for the best.

Yeah, they didn't have "enough" viewers after the 2nd season and all that garbage, but I don't think a show like this could just get popular after 2 seasons, it takes a while to build a good fan base.

The biggest problem and possibly why rating are so low is because I know at least where I am watching it, it doesn't come on tv until 1:30 am on sunday morning.
