Micromax Informatics Limited, an Indian mobile manufacturer and the 12th largest handset maker across the word, has launched a new Android smartphone in India. The Micromax Superfone Infinity A80 is latest member to join the Superfone series of the company. The A80 is a dual SIM (GSM + CDMA) phone running on the Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread operating system. The handset is powered by an 800 MHz processor with 512MB of RAM.
The A80 Infinity has a 3.75 inch wide TFT touchscreen display. It flaunts two cameras including a 5 megapixel camera with Flash on the rear and a 0.3 MP camera on the front. The rear camera also features multi shot option, night vision setting, camera censor and multiple formats for video recording. It also features a microSD card slot, through which the memory can be expanded up to 32GB. The A80 comes with a huge 2,500 mAh battery, which offers around 288 hours of standby time and 7 hours of talktime.
The device is equipped with Micromax's voice recognition app AISHA. AISHA or Artificial Intelligence Speech Handset Assistant is a siri-like voice assistant. Apps like Whatsapp, Facebook, TOI, Mibuddy, Mstore and Google Play have been pre-loaded on the device. It supports EDGE, GPRS, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0 and includes USB 2.0 port as connectivity options. It is now available across all leading retail stores in India. It has been priced Rs. 8,490.
