HTC (Taiwanese manufacturer) has a range of Android smartphones that are perhaps meant for varied markets around the world. On Verizon Wireless, the device could very well become the next member of the ever growing DROID family. List of HTC's upcoming mobile phones running under Google's Android 2.2 operating system supposedly includes at least two new mobile phones, i.e. the HTC Bee and HTC Lexikon. The price and release date are apparently not known at this time but it’s said that Verizon plans to introduce the HTC Lexikon in early 2011 (the final name of the smartphone might be different).
According to the leaked specs of HTC Lexikon, it should arrive with a 3.8-inch touchscreen that boasts a WVGA resolution, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a Qualcomm MSM7630 Snapdragon processor that runs at only 800 MHz, 512MB of RAM, and a 5-megapixel photo snapper.
According to AndroidGuys, “The first image/render to hit the internet comes from a source that has been a pretty reliable stream of Android leaks in the past. I have no reason to believe that the picture we’re looking at is faked. I’ve said it before: a vast majority of Android leaks prove to be legit, if only delayed once in a while. Further, there’s no internal alarm going off telling me the ROM below isn’t a signed Lexikon file”.
